Crews work to restore power to east side of Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Crews are working to restore power to a section of Youngstown’s east side.

A utility pole was knocked down about 3:30 a.m. Friday on Shehy Street  when a vehicle hit it. The driver of the car took off. Police are looking for that person.

At 5 a.m., there were still about 24 homes without power.

A section of Shehy Street to Oak Street is closed while crews work to restore service.

According to the First Energy Outage Map, power is expected to be restored by 8 a.m.
