Early morning house fire in Struthers under investigation

A fire in Struthers forces a family from their home.

STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) – A house fire on 5th Street in Struthers forced a family out of their home Saturday morning.

The fire was reported at about 5:45 after starting in the basement.

Four people were inside at the time, but they all made it out. One was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for smoke inhalation.

The house has extensive smoke and water damage, and the residents are not allowed back inside.

The fire is still under investigation.
