Drive-thru in Warren encourages voters to register

Voters are able to register without getting out of their cars in Warren.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Trumbull County Democratic Party held a drive-thru voter registration event Sunday to encourage people in the area to have a say in this year’s political election.

The registration attracted new voters, despite the weather. Volunteers directed cars through the process to make it as easy as possible for drivers, who were able to stay warm in their cars.

“The Ohio Democratic Party did a really solid job marketing for this,” said Christopher Anderson, a volunteer at the event. “We’re expecting a good turnout.”

The deadline to register to vote in Ohio’s presidential primary is February 16. Election day is March 15.
