NE Ohio woman, 59, shot and killed; police seek suspect

LORAIN, Ohio (AP) – Police in northeast Ohio are searching for a man suspected of shooting a woman to death in her home.

Lorain Police Capt. Roger Watkins tells The Morning Journal that 59-year-old Corrinna Charleton was fatally shot around 5:15 p.m. Saturday. The matter is being investigated as a homicide.

A murder warrant has been issued for 57-year-old Anthony Wayne Davis. The newspaper reports Davis was last seen walking eastbound from the residence on 7th Court just after shots were reported to police.

Police consider Davis armed and dangerous.
