Whitehead ties Ward, Hickory rolls to No. 62

Hickory's Jeannette Whitehead tied Sally Ward for the most wins in school history Monday with 316.

Hermitage, PA (WKBN) – The Hickory girls basketball team led from start to finish in a 66-20 win over Titusville Monday, their 62nd straight regular season victory.

The Hornets quickly jumped out to a double digit lead and led 37-10 at halftime. With the win, head coach Jeanette Whitehead ties legendary Hickory coach Sally Ward with 316 wins, the most in school history.

Marissa DeJulia paced the Hornets with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Neely Whitehead added 14 points, 4 steals, and 3 assists. Hannah Aikins also had 11 points and Hannah Crow had 10.

Hickory improves to 14-0 and play at Grove City Thursday.
