Grand Valley escapes from Bristol

BRISTOLVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – Grand Valley trailed 38-37 late in the fourth quarter before the Lady Mustangs finished the game on a 5-2 run to take the 42-40 victory over Bristol.

Abby Triskett scored 20 points, sinking three shots from long distance, and hauling down 5 rebounds for Grand Valley. Abby Takacs and Cassandra Gallo tallied 8 and 6 points respectively.

For Bristol, Hailee Elza led the Lady Panthers with 15 points while Kaylie Rowland added 12. Bristol actually outrebounded the Lady Mustangs, 36-27. However, the Panthers turned the ball over 22 times and only shot 20% from beyond the three-point arc.

Bristol returns to action on Saturday against Badger. Grand Valley is schedule to meet Pymatuning Valley next Thursday.
