Plans announced for former Friendly’s location in Poland

POLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – A Poland government representative confirmed the plans for a couple of buildings in the village to WKBN Thursday.

The building that used to house Friendly’s Restaurant near the intersection of U.S. Route 224 and Main St. in Poland has begun to be renovated, according to Poland Village Zoning Administrator David Raspanti, who said that the building will be turned into a dental office.

The gas station across the street from the former Friendly’s building on N. Main St. is being remodeled and will be a privately owned Shell Gas Station.

There is no word yet on when either will be open.

Friendly’s closed in November of 2014.
