Girard Police searching for bank robber

Girard Police are asking the public to help identify this man, who was captured on surveillance cameras during a robbery of Citizens Bank on S. State Street.

GIRARD, Ohio (WKBN) – Police are looking for a man who robbed the Citizens Bank on S. State Street on Friday afternoon.

Police say the man entered the store at 5:55 p.m., just prior to closing, and demanded cash from each of the registers. He then left, and a dye pack was activated on the stolen cash.

The robbery was captured on the bank’s surveillance cameras.

Police described the robber as a white male in his mid-30s, approximately 6’0″ to 6’2″ tall with a slim build. He had unkept, short facial hair, according to police.
