Kennedy Catholic routs rival Farrell

Kennedy Catholic remains perfect in Region play after topping rival Farrell Monday night.

HERMITAGE, PA (WKBN)-The Kennedy Catholic Golden Eagles grabbed their 12th win of the season Monday night as KC routed rival Farrell 77-39.

In all four Golden Eagles reached double-figures led by Raygen Fisher’s 17.

It was the press of Kennedy that got to the Steelers forcing multiple turnovers which led to fast break points on the other end.

Taylor Zacherl had 16 for KC while Sophia Beradi added 12 points and 9 rebounds and McKayla Fusco chipped in 11 points and 8 assists.

Marissa Hopson led the way for Farrell with 14 points.

The win improves KC, who is ranked 4th in the latest statewide poll in Class A, to 12-3 overall and 5-0 in Region play.

Farrell falls to 10-7 and 3-2 in the Region.
