Steelworkers union to rally in Chicago for new contracts

CHICAGO (WKBN) – The United Steelworkers will hold a rally in Chicago on Wednesday at ArcelorMittal’s North American Headquarters.

According to a USW news release, there are 13,000 workers at ArcelorMittal facilities working under contracts that expired last September.

The release says that union members will also carry out solidarity actions in individual facilities on Wednesday and throughout the coming weeks.

The rally is open to USW members, retirees and supporters. It will be at 8:15 at 1 S. Dearborn St. in Chicago.
