BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Dozens of children got the chance to meet a famous Boardman High School alumnus tonight. Cleveland Browns lineman John Greco came to Market Street Elementary School for “Literacy Night.”

He graduated from Boardman in 2003. Now that he is in his off-season, he was happy to lend his voice to let kids know how important it is to read.

Greco says he enjoys meeting kids from his hometown.

“They’re fans of football. It’s a lot of fun. They like seeing you,” he said.

First News This Morning anchors Lauren Wood and Dan Martin also talked to the kids about how important it is to learn to read at a young age.
