YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The trial for a woman accused of taking thousands of dollars from the Jackson-Milton Parent-Teacher Association began Thursday in a Mahoning County Courtroom.

Annette Seeds, 48, is charged with one count of felony theft. She is accused of stealing more than $17,000 from the organization in her capacity as president of the PTA.

Prosecutors say Seeds used the PTA’s debit card to buy fuel, groceries and clothes over a two-year period.

Seeds was indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury in June 2014.
