McDonald uses comeback to top rival Ridge

The Blue Devils trailed by 15 in the second quarter but had a big second half comeback to get the win Friday night.

WEATHERSFIELD, OH (WKBN)-After being down double-digits in the first half, McDonald used a big second half comeback to stun rival Mineral Ridge 79-71 on Friday night.

The Rams led by as many as 15 points in the second quarter but allowed the Blue Devils to gain momentum late in the quarter cutting the lead to just 9 before the break.

McDonald outscored Mineral Ridge 45-28 in the second half. Matt Howard led the Blue Devils with 20 points while Zack Fedyski and Jake Reckard each had 13.

Despite the loss, Mineral Ridge still had three players in double-figures led by Christian DiRando who had 18 points. Mac White chipped in with 16 while Zane Rummell added 13.
