Man, 19, charged in slaying of teenager

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) – A man has been charged in the shooting death of a 16-year-old youth in eastern Pennsylvania last week.

Allentown police said 19-year-old Michael Angelo Rodriguez was arrested Friday in York in the death of 16-year-old Trequon Wade on Monday in front of an Allentown laundromat.

Rodriguez is charged with criminal homicide and a weapons offense. Detectives haven’t commented on a possible motive but say the investigation continues.

Court documents indicate he will be represented by the Lehigh County public defender’s office, which could not be reached to offer comment over the weekend.
