Petition signing blitz set for Mercer County

MERCER, Pa. (WKBN) – This year, voters in Mercer County will vote for three Pennsylvania representatives, a senator, congressman, attorney general, auditor general and treasurer.

Before the candidates can appear on the ballot, they must obtain signed petitions. To help the candidates get those signatures, the Board of Elections has set up locations throughout the county where voters can sign petitions to help their candidate appear on the ballot.

The signings are being held at the following locations:

  • Monday, Feb. 1, 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Timbercreek Restaurant, 15 Holiday Blvd. Mercer.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 2, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Perkins Restaurant, 915 W. Main St, Grove City.
  • Friday, Feb. 5, Noon-2:30 p.m., Panera Bread, 2390 E. State St., Hermitage.
  • Friday, Feb. 5, 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Haitian Sensation Coffee Shop, 869 E. State St., Sharon.
  • Saturday Feb p.m., Thiel College, 75 College Ave., Greenville. (In the Dome).
  • Tuesday, Feb. 9, 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Mercer Area Library, 110 E. Venango St., Mercer. (In the back room).

All Registered Democrats are welcome to attend any of the locations to sign petitions. Registered Democrats who are carrying a petition for a candidate can bring that petition to any of the signing events.
