Kensington man charged with rape of family member

The alleged rape was reported to officials at Minerva High School

LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) — A Kensington man is being held on a $500,000 bond, pending a preliminary hearing on charges that he and two of his siblings raped and assaulted a family member last week.

David Lucas is charged with rape, a first-degree felony charge.

According to the Morning Journal, the alleged rape was reported to school officials at Minerva High School on January 27. The newspaper cites court documents in which Lucas reportedly admitted that he and two siblings tied a relative to a bed, gave her a drug using an EpiPen, and he then raped the relative.

The others involved are reportedly juveniles and it is unknown whether they participated in the sexual assault. They were taken to the Louis Tobin Attention Center after questioning.

Lucas is scheduled to appear before Judge Mark Frost on Thursday, where it could be determined if there is enough evidence to bind him over to the grand jury on the charge.
