YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – People in a south-side Youngstown neighborhood say a hit-and-run driver left a big mess behind this morning.
A neighbor said the driver of a car drove through the 300-block of East Judson shortly after 8 a.m., taking down a traffic sign and a fire hydrant and then speeding away, only to come back minutes later and crash into a utility pole.
The neighbor said the driver then jumped out of the car and ran off.
The wreck knocked out electrical service to the neighborhood.
City traffic and water department workers also had to be called to fix the sign and the hydrant.
