Registration event in Boardman prepares voters for primary

To prepare for the March election, the 224 Corridor Democratic Club and the Mahoning County Republican Party hosted a voter registration.

The Democratic and Republican Parties teamed up to get people registered to vote before the primary.

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – The 224 Corridor Democratic Club teamed up with the Mahoning County Republican Party for a voter registration event on Saturday.

It took place at the McDonald’s on Route 224 in Boardman to help people in the Valley prepare for Ohio’s primary election in March.

“It doesn’t matter to us which party you are or anything along those lines, so long as you come out to vote,” said Christopher Anderson. “The goal is to just make sure people are registered and people know there is an election coming up.”

The process only takes a couple of minutes, and all you need is your address and the last four digits of your social security number or driver’s license number. The registration forms are then turned in to the board of elections.

The next voter registration event will be February 13th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the same location.
