YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Mahoning Valley Historical Society hosted the “Cookie Table and Cocktails” fundraiser at the Tyler History Center in downtown Youngstown on Saturday.
About 300 people attended, including First News anchor Stan Boney, who was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
“It’s a really good time. The people who bake really enjoy it,” said Cheryl Steib Lewis of the Historical Society. “It’s highly competitive to them, but the output, I’ve never seen such a diverse array of cookies.”
The Historical Society raised has $6.1 million dollars to renovate the History Center building which used to be home to Burt’s Confectionary.

Oldest Baker: Nancy Lenhoff
1st Place: Almond butter cookie – Stacey’s Sweet Treats (Stacey Adger)
2nd Place: Sugar cookie – Sweets by Christine (Christine Harley)
3rd Place: Clothespins – Soldier’s Sweets (Marnie Holcomb)
