YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Mahoning Valley Historical Society hosted the “Cookie Table and Cocktails” fundraiser at the Tyler History Center in downtown Youngstown on Saturday.

About 300 people attended, including First News anchor Stan Boney, who was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.

“It’s a really good time. The people who bake really enjoy it,” said Cheryl Steib Lewis of the Historical Society. “It’s highly competitive to them, but the output, I’ve never seen such a diverse array of cookies.”

The Historical Society raised has $6.1 million dollars to renovate the History Center building which used to be home to Burt’s Confectionary.

Judge’s Choice (Overall Winner): Tropical macaroons – Rulli Brothers (Nick Tiberio)

Amateur Division
1st Place: Melting moment – Betty Saxon
2nd Place: Potato chip cookie – Barbara Tarcy
3rd Place: Apricot kiffels – Judi Hickok
Judge’s Choice (Overall Winner): White chocolate butter lime – Tysa Egleton
