Kent State student shot, killed inside apartment

The suspect charged is a juvenile

A Kent State University students was shot in killed in Kent, Ohio.

KENT, Ohio (WKBN) – Police in Kent are investigating the fatal shooting of a Kent State University student who was found dead inside an apartment.

Police were called about 4:15 p.m. Sunday to an apartment on Main Street where they found Nicholas Massa, 18, of Westlake, dead of a gunshot wound, according to a police report.

Suspects fled the area but one person, Ty Kremling, 17, of Stow, was apprehended with the help of Stow Police. He is charged with delinquency by aggravated murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
