New Castle suffers first loss thanks to Allderdice

PITTSBURGH, PA(WKBN)-New Castle’s hopes of an undefeated season came to an end Monday night as the Red Hurricanes fell to Allderdice, the top-ranked team in Class AAAA, 75-49.

The game was close in the first quarter with New Castle grabbing the lead on several occasions thanks to the deep ball as the Red Hurricanes connected with three shots behind-the-arc in the first quarter.

But late in the frame James Jackson had two dunks off of two NC turnovers which got the crowd behind the Dragons. James ended the evening with 23 while brother Tim added 14.

Geno Stone led the way for New Castle with 14.

New Castle finishes the regular season at 21-1 and are currently ranked 3rd in Class AAA in Pennsylvania.
