Springfield rolls as Mincher closes in on record

Springfield Senior Graham Mincher broke the program's single-game scoring record with 52 points in an 82-72 win over Sebring Friday night.

New Middletown, OH (WKBN) – The Springfield boys basketball team defeated Campbell, 70-43 Tuesday at Springfield Local High School.

Senior Graham Mincher needed 29 points to break the school’s all-time scoring record and came away with 19 for the night. Mincher scored just two points in the first half, but turned things up with 17 second-half points.

The Tigers started strong and led 32-24 at the break. A strong third quarter helped them seal the deal over the Red Devils.

Four Tigers scored in double figures, including Grant Nezbeth with 13, Jake Ford with 12, and Jordan Capoullez finishing with 11 points.
