Fitch tops Howland behind Pangio’s 20 points

Anthony Pangio led Fitch with 20 points as the Falcons won their seventh straight game.

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Fitch pulled into a tie for third place (with Canfield) in the All-American Red Division by virtue of their 66-47 victory over Howland tonight. Anthony Pangio led the Falcons with 20 points while Dom DiFrancesco added 13 and Brian Beany also had 12 (3 three-pointers).

Connor Tamarkin scored 9 points in the first half for Howland as he finished with 11. Luciano Romeo scored 11 as Nate Leventis tallied 9 points.

With tonight’s win, Fitch has won seven straight games. Howland has dropped four of their last five games.

The Tigers (9-12, 4-10) will close out their regular season slate with a trip to LaBrae on Tuesday. The Falcons (14-6, 9-4) will host Marlington on Tuesday before traveling to Boardman on Friday.
