Gasoline prices low, expected to rise

Warren and Salem had some of the area's lowest gas prices

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Prepare for another jump in gasoline prices.

Gas Buddy reports increases of as much as 43% in the Chicago area. It’s not known how much the increases will affect us.

The AAA Friday morning survey for Youngstown-Warren had the average price for regular gas holding steady at $1.44 a gallon. A week ago, the price was $1.52.

The cheapest gasoline in the area early on Friday was in the city of Warren at $1.27 a gallon. In Salem, some stations were at $1.33.

And just think. One year ago, we thought $2.20 a gallon was an amazing price.
