Cincinnati officers fires shot during chase of suspect

CINCINNATI (AP) – Cincinnati police say an officer fired his weapon while chasing a suspect who’d fled his car after a pursuit.

Police say the suspect was not struck and was taken into custody shortly afterward.

Cincinnati authorities say the incident happened early Sunday morning after the driver of a car refused to pull over for the officer conducting a traffic stop.

Police say a short car chase ended when the suspect vehicle crashed into a parked car and the driver got out and ran.

Cincinnati police say they’re still trying to identify the suspect. An investigation continues.
