Ohio cities opening warming shelters over the weekend

Cities across Ohio say warming shelters will be open throughout the holiday weekend as bitter temperatures take hold.

Akron and Dayton the cities opening centers where people can go to stay warm.

Temperatures are expected to dip into the single digits this weekend, with wind chills much colder.

The frigid temperatures are proving to be too cold even for sleigh rides in northern Ohio.

Organizers canceled plans for the horse-drawn rides on Saturday and Sunday in Fremont at the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center.
