YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – During Lent season, many churches in the Youngstown area are cooking and selling fish every Friday up until Easter, which is March 27, 2016.

Lent began Feb. 10 and lasts 40 days to represent the time that Jesus spent being tempted by the devil in the wilderness, while Easter commemorates Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. The history behind the tradition of eating fish on Fridays is somewhat cloudy.

Unless otherwise noted, all locations below will be selling fish every Friday afternoon until Easter, except Good Friday, which is March 25.

If you have a fish fry you want to submit, fill out this form.
