Trump supporters campaign in Mahoning County

Volunteers for the Mahoning County Republican headquarters in Boardman spread Donald Trump's message.

Supporters of Donald Trump are campaigning in Mahoning County.

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Donald Trump supporters in Mahoning County volunteered to spread his message throughout the county on Saturday.

Organizers at the Mahoning County Republican headquarters say that almost 100 volunteers showed up to pass out about 1,200 signs.

Patrick White, a spokesman for the “Donald Trump for President” committee, says not everyone in the party is a Trump supporter.

“It’s a little split. Everybody goes a little bit their separate ways and will support different candidates, but we’re pretty confident from internal polling that we’ve seen that Trump is going to carry Mahoning County.”

The team hopes to distribute all the signs by the end of next week. Volunteers will also go door-to-door and make phone calls for Trump ahead of the March 15th primary.
