Carnival at Youngstown church provides fun for kids

Children and families enjoyed games and activities at an affordable rate at Zion Lutheran's carnival.

Money raised at the carnival will go towards God's Global Barnyard charity.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Zion Lutheran Church in Youngstown hosted its third annual children’s carnival Sunday afternoon.

The event is open to the public, and features games and activities for school-age children for a small fee.

There was bowling, plinko, an obstacle course and a sack race. A clown was also there to entertain the kids, who could get their faces painted and balloon animals.

“Everything is under a dollar, all the games are a quarter,” said Sunday School Director Janelle Nagy. “All the food is under a dollar, so a family can come out and have a good time and it’s inexpensive.”

The money raised will benefit God’s Global Barnyard, a charity that provides livestock, water and resources to families in need of sustainable food sources around the world.
