UAW 1112 voting on local contract with GM

The voting continues until 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

LORDSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Assembly plant workers at GM Lordstown are deciding whether or not to accept a tentative local contract.

The members of UAW Local 1112 began voting at 5:00 a.m. Monday. Voting ends at 5:00 Tuesday morning.

Earlier this month, members with the other union at the plant, UAW Local 1714, approved their local contract. Both locals along with union locals across the country approved a new national agreement with GM a few months back.

Local 1112 represents about 3,600 workers. The plant assembles the Chevy Cruze.
