Kennedy Catholic girls outlast Farrell

The Golden Eagles have now won fifteen straight head-to-head meetings against the Steelers.

Kennedy Catholic's Makayla Shannonhouse tallied 13 points and 11 rebounds as the Golden Eagles topped Farrell in the District 10 Class A Semifinals.

SHARON, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – The Kennedy Catholic Girls Basketball Team outlasted Farrell 52-44 in the District 10 Class A Semifinals Wednesday night at Sharon High School.

The Golden Eagles have now won fifteen straight head-to-head meetings against the Steelers.

Taylor Zacherl and Sophia Berardi led Kennedy Catholic with 14 points apiece.  Makayla Shannonhouse added a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Diamond Barber led Farrell with 14 points.  Marissa Hopson tallied 10 points in the loss for the Steelers.

Kennedy Catholic improves to 18-4 overall on the season.  The Golden Eagles advance to face Cochranton in the District 10 Class A Finals.  Date and time TBA.  The team is seeking a sixth straight District Ten title.

Farrell’s season comes to an end with a record of 15-8 overall.
