Mom of kids who OD’d on opiates appears in court

Carlisa Davis appeared in Trumbull County Court in Warren

Carlisa Davis, the Warren mom charged with child endangering after her children overdosed on opiates, appeared in Trumbull County Court Wednesday.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) РThe Warren mother accused of child endangering after her two children ingested opiates was in court Wednesday morning.

Carlisa Davis appeared in Trumbull County Court Wednesday. Her kids are still in the care of Trumbull County Children Services.

A Trumbull County grand jury indicted the 18-year-old after her two children had to be revived earlier this month at Trumbull Memorial Hospital with an opioid overdose reversal drug. They were later given another dose at Akron Children’s Hospital.

Davis’ attorney requested that the judge lift the no contact order condition of her bond, so they could move forward with a hearing in Juvenile Court next week. The judge granted that request.

Carlisa Davis’s mother, Lisa Davis, is charged with allowing drug abuse.

Both women are due back in court on March 2.
