YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A man accused of trying to set his girlfriend’s house on fire on Youngstown’s east side in late November was arraigned in Mahoning County Court Wednesday.

Ronald Magby was indicted by a grand jury in February on aggravated arson and attempted murder.

He is accused of trying to kill his girlfriend by attempting to set their north side home on fire.

Police say Magby cut the gas lines in the house, but he set himself on fire in the process suffering third degree burns.

Bond was set at $50,000 and Magby is not allowed to have contact with the woman.
