YSU Women to play Friday and Sunday

Both games will have free admission as part of Sponsor Appreciation weekend at Beeghly Center.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Youngstown State women’s basketball team’s game against Valparaiso has been rescheduled for Friday at 7 p.m., and the contest between YSU and UIC has been moved to Sunday at 5 p.m. Both games will have free admission as part of Sponsor Appreciation weekend at Beeghly Center.

The rescheduling was necessary because of the snowstorm that hit the greater Chicago area on Wednesday and the resulting travel limitations for both Valparaiso and UIC.

The celebration for the 20th anniversary of the 1995-96 Youngstown women’s basketball NCAA Tournament team will take place at halftime of the YSU men’s game on Saturday, which will still tip at 7 p.m. Janae Jackson’s Senior Day will take place prior to Friday night’s game vs. Valparaiso.
