Search of home reveals meth cooking, 1 arrested

JOHNSTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – Members of the Trumbull-Ashtabula Group Law Enforcement Task Force and Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office Clandestine Meth Response Team conducted a search at 7436 Ridge Road on Friday.

Colleen Maky was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Niles Municipal Court. Maky was sought by investigators for cooking meth. She was arrested without incident.

The residence was searched and evacuated. Lab team members removed hazardous materials after making them safe for removal.

Investigators recovered finished methamphetamine, scales, filters, Coleman fuel, lye, cold packs and salt.

The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office and Warren Police Department are the only local law enforcement agencies to have trained lab responders.

The Johnston Township Fire Department provided assistance.
