Accused Youngstown rapist, murderer back in court

Robert Seman is accused of raping a 10-year-old and then burning down her house

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The trial for accused rapist and murderer Robert Seman continues on track.

The man from Green Township was back in Judge Maureen Sweeney’s courtroom Wednesday morning for another monthly hearing.

He’s facing capital murder charges in the arson deaths of 10-year-old Corinne Gump and her grandparents Bill and Judy Schmidt inside their south-side Youngstown home in March of 2015.

At that time, Seman was set to go on trial accused of raping the little girl.

Seman’s trial is set for this September.
