Pennsylvania woman guilty of attacking school psychologist

The Meadville Tribune reports 57-year-old Vicki Hawk will be sentenced May 3 after pleading guilty Thursday to simple assault and making terroristic threats.

MEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) – A Pennsylvania woman has pleaded guilty to assaulting a school psychologist who was restraining her out-of-control grandson.

The Meadville Tribune reports 57-year-old Vicki Hawk will be sentenced May 3 after pleading guilty Thursday to simple assault and making terroristic threats.

State police say the Jamestown woman arrived yelling obscenities and threatened to kill Gary Kinnear, the psychologist and director of special education at Jamestown Elementary School on Oct. 22.

Police say Hawk’s grandson has been removed from class and was being restrained after physically harming himself.

Police say Hawk punched Kinnear in the face and choked him, too.

Her defense attorney didn’t immediately return a call for comment Friday.
