Woman, possibly disabled, can’t escape Pennsylvania fire

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – A woman has died after she was unable to escape a house fire in central Pennsylvania.

Authorities have said the woman found dead inside the home in Susquehanna Township near Harrisburg may have been disabled.

Fire Chief George Drees says crews quickly determined someone was trapped in the home when they were called about 5 p.m. Thursday.

The Dauphin County coroner’s office couldn’t immediately release the victim’s name or how she died Friday morning.

The cause of the fire was being investigated, but authorities say it appears to be an accident.
