Man reports being stabbed while walking in Warren

The victim said he ran to his apartment after the attack

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A man reported being stabbed while walking home from Fast Lane Mini Mart on West Market Street in Warren.

The reported stabbing occurred around 8 p.m. Saturday, according to a Warren Police report.

A man told police he was near the Avon Oaks apartment complex when he was approached by an unknown black man wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, blue jogging pants and a gray baseball hat. He said the man was approximately 5’09” to 5’11” tall, weighing 200 pounds.

He said the unknown man asked him what he had him his pockets, and when he didn’t answer, struck him in the head with his fist and lunged at him with a knife, stabbing him in the left bicep.

The victim said he ran to his apartment after the attack.

Police said he had a small laceration on his arm and declined a trip to the hospital.
