COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – More than 1.2 million Walmart and Sam’s Club associates in the U.S., including more than 44,000 in Ohio, will receive a pay raise in their March 10 paychecks.
The increases are part of the company’s two-year, $2.7 billion investment in higher pay, better training, clearer career paths and additional education opportunities for its workers, according to the company.
In addition to the higher wages, eligible Ohio associates will also receive a share of the more than $9 million in bonuses earned in the fourth quarter of the year. Associates are eligible for quarterly bonuses based on their store’s performance.
The company says its goal is to improve customer service and increase employees’ skills and knowledge of the company.
