Farrell gives Elk County Catholic first loss, advance to Elite 8

CLARION, PA (WKBN)-The Farrell Steelers gave Elk County Catholic their first loss of the season on Tuesday night, sending the Crusaders home in the second round of the PIAA Class “A” tournament 61-38.

Malik Miller scored nine straight points for the Steelers in the first quarter setting the pace for Farrell to jump to an early 24-8.

Miller finished with 15 points in the contest while Kyi Wright led the way with 17 points.

The Steelers draw Sewickley Academy in the Elite 8 this Friday with the time and location to be announced.
