CHAMPION, Ohio (WKBN) – Champion Police said someone made a bomb threat at Trumbull Career and Technical Center Tuesday, leading school officials to evacuate students.

School Superintendent Jason Gray said the bomb threat was written on one of the school’s bathroom walls, and school officials evacuated students from the building and then sent them home for the day by their normal means of transportation.

Police have searched the building and have not located any evidence of explosive materials. School will resume as normal on Wednesday.

Gray stated that he is “not permitted to release any further details at this time, as it may compromise the integrity of the investigation.” Parents and students will received a call at 7 p.m. Tuesday from the school, thanking them for their cooperation and patience during the investigation.
