United Way of Trumbull County exceeds fundraising goal

The United Way of Trumbull County announced its fundraising numbers at Niles Community Service Center

The United Way of Trumbull County completed another successful campaign, exceeding its goal with more than $923,000 in pledges.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The United Way of Trumbull County completed another successful campaign, exceeding its goal with more than $923,000 in pledges.

The organization made the announcement on Tuesday at the Niles Community Service Center — one of the places that it serves.

This is the third year that Trumbull County’s United Way exceeded its campaign goal.

United Way of Trumbull County President Ginny Pasha said there are several factors the organization uses when setting a fundraising dollar amount.

“We take a look at what our past history has been. We take a look at where our donors came from the previous year, and then we try to see an increase of 4 to 5 percent every year,” Pasha said.

The United Way said a major contributed was General Motors, which pledged a dollar-for-dollar match on all employee campaign contributions.
