Warren Police investigate another reported stabbing

A security guard told police he was stabbed by an unknown man at the Avon Oaks apartments

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Warren Police investigated a reported stabbing on Tuesday, located near where another man told police he was stabbed Tuesday.

Officers were called to the area of the Avon Oak apartments on Southern Boulevard around 12:45 a.m. A man working security told police that he was patrolling the area when he saw a man on the first floor of the complex that was not a tenant.

He told police he approached the unknown man, who then lunged at him with a knife. The security guard said he put up his arm to block the attack and received a minor cut on his arm as a result.

After punching him in the face, the man ran from the area, according to a Warren Police report.

The attacker was described as a black man in his mid-20s, approximately 6’2″ tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt, gray sweatpants and had a short haircut, according to the report.
