COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol seized more than $200,000 in cocaine during a traffic stop in western Ohio.
Troopers pulled over a van with California plates on Interstate 70 in Preble County on March 2. The behavior of the driver prompted troopers to call in a drug sniffing dog and initially found small baggies containing cocaine in the vehicle. A further search reveled six larger packages of cocaine stuffed inside shoes and boots in the van.
Essex J. Clark, 47, of Las Vegas, was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine and drug possession.
The total value of the drugs seized was estimated at $232,900.
