Four-car accident causes traffic backup in Boardman

A chain reaction crash was started after a driver turned left into traffic on Market Street

A driver was making a left turn onto Market Street when a southbound vehicle struck it, causing a chain-reaction crash, police said.

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Traffic was backed up for some time, following a four-car accident on Market Street around 4:30 p.m.

A driver turned left into traffic from Roche Way onto Market Street when a southbound vehicle struck it, causing a chain-reaction crash, police said.

“It all started with a bad left turn,” said an officer at the scene.

Two cars appear to be totaled, and two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
