Both trucks wound up in a nearby creek. After he was chased off the property by a 911 caller, police said they apprehended Heinselman, who was hiding underneath a boat.

Howland Township Police Chief Paul Monroe called the crime a “senseless act of violence.”

Police said they are not aware of a motive for the suspect but will continue to investigate.
