March 15 is Free Cone Day at participating Dairy Queens

The promotion goes on until participating stores close on Tuesday night

Dairy Queen is giving out free cones to mark its 75th anniversary

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – If you’re in the mood for a cool treat and also want to help out local families, Tuesday, March 15 is your lucky day.

It’s Free Cone Day at participating Dairy Queens in the area. Each person can receive one free cone, free of charge.

Dairy Queens are asking each patron to consider making a donation. All of the money donated stays in the Valley, helping those that cannot afford their medical bills.

“In the case of a crisis or an emergency, we have really good facilities and no child is ever turned away for inability to pay at Akron Children’s Hospital,” said Austintown Dairy Queen owner Christine Smith.

The promotion goes on until participating stores close on Tuesday night.
