David Benner charged with child endangerment and drug possession in Bazetta Township

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Bazetta man accused of helping his girlfriend shoot-up with heroin in front of one of their children last month was indicted by a Trumbull County grand jury.

David Benner, 35, was indicted on charges of possessing heroin and endangering children.

Officers said Benner told them he shot up his girlfriend, Kathryn Hollis, with heroin at their Westlake Drive residence. When she began foaming at the mouth and vomiting, he had Hollis’ mother call 911.

Hollis’ young daughter was in a crib nearby, and two older children were upstairs with their grandparents, according to a police report.

Hollis was treated and released from St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was also charged with child endangering.
