YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – City crews are working to repair a water line that ruptured Thursday morning on Meridian Road after a contractor doing work in the area hit a city water line.

Water has been shut off in the area of Meridian Road and Oakwood Avenue.

Youngstown City Chief Engineer Gene Leson said police had initially shut down Meridian Road in the area.

Leson said he didn’t know how long it would take to repair the line but crews have been working on it all morning.
